Dolores Whelan has been involved with education all her adult life, initially as a Biochemistry Lecturer and for the past 25 years as an educator and spiritual guide.
She holds an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin and an M.A. in Spirituality. She was guided back over time to her own spiritual roots within the Celtic Tradition.
Dolores facilitates workshops and retreats in Celtic Spirituality and personal empowerment. She also leads pilgrimages to scared places in Ireland and Scotland. In 2013 Dolores, along with spiritual teacher Karen Ward, led the first pilgrimage of the Brigid’s Way Pilgrimage route from Faughart in County Louth to Kildare Town. This wonderful pilgrimage took place over 9 nine days and was the first time the route had been walked since ancient times.
She is a respected speaker at conferences and in the Irish and international media.
Dolores is author of Your Breaking Point (1993), contributor to Celtic Threads (1999), The Quiet Quarter 10 year anthology (2009) and Of Constant Heart (2010)
Her most recent book is Ever Ancient Ever New – Celtic Spirituality in the 21st Century.
Dolores believes that the deep truths held within the Celtic spiritual and wisdom tradition is both ancient and new.It is now ready to re-emerge and to lead towards a new way for humankind to live in the world. Her work endeavours to support this awakening, both within the land and the people of Ireland and worldwide.
