St. Patrick’s Parish Dundalk began the Triduum in honour of St. Brigid in 1982 under the care and direction of Mr and Mrs Paddy McCourt (R.I.P.) and Spiritual Director Fr. Paddy Larkin.

FEASTDAY CELEBRATIONS 2018
St. Brigid’s Triduum begins on Tuesday 30th Jan to Thursday 1st Feb at 11am and 7.30pm daily in St. Nicholas’ Church.
The annual St Brigid’s Candlelight Procession will take place on Thursday February 1 from Faughart Graveyard to St Brigid’s Shrine. This procession will take place regardless of weather conditions. Hymns and prayers will be recited en route.
The procession is part of the celebrations to mark the Feast of St Brigid which will commence on Tuesday January 30 with the first Mass of a triduum at 7.30pm celebrated by Fr Bernard Hughes.
The triduum will be completed on 1st February with Mass at 10am celebrated by Fr Damien Quigley. Other events on the day include St Brigid’s Festival at 3pm and Mass for school principals at 5pm. There will be individual blessing with the reilic at 11.30am and 5.30pm.
