Feast Day Celebrations - 1st February each year Dundalk and Faughart St. Brigid’s Triduum runs daily for 3 days leading up to and including 1st February at 11.00am and 7.30pm daily in St. Nicholas’ Church, Bridge Street, Dundalk. The annual St Brigid’s Candlelight Procession takes place on 1st February, from Faughart Graveyard to St Brigid’s Shrine. This procession will take place regardless of weather conditions. At St. Brigid’s Shrine, Faughart The Annual Candlelight Procession from Faughart Cemetary to St. Brigid’s Shrine takes place every year on the eve of St Brigid's Day The procession forms up at Faughart Old Cemetery on the summit of Faughart Hill and following prayers and blessing of fire, traverses the two kilometre route leading to St. Brigid’s Stream and Shrine, which has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. The Relic of St. Brigid will be available for Personal blessing at St. Brigid's Shrine on St.Brigid's Day. Please check times with Faughart Parish.
