Brigit’s Eve – Oíche Bhríde Celebrate Brigit’s Eve, Oíche Bhríde, in the Roundhouse with an evening of Brigit traditions, cross-making, music, ritual and reflection. The evening will be led by Moya Roddy and there will be refreshments afterwards. All are welcome, the guideline donation is €10. Celebrate the start of spring with a FREE Brigit’s Cross-making workshop! Rushes will be provided and you will be able to make your own traditional cross to take home. All welcome!

Brigid’s Dublin Pilgrimage

BRIGID’S DUBLIN PILGRIMAGE,This is an opportunity to celebrate Brigid’s Day, the first of Spring and the Celtic Festival of Imbolg (Gaelic for ‘in the belly’ meaning the ewe’s baby lambs) in our capital city. Her beautiful but lesser known Well at Clondalkin, on the outskirts of the city is lovingly tended by locals who saved this sacred site from extinction. Starts at: The Bridewell Garda Station, Smithfield the route flows through the city’s natural green spaces via the Anna Livia Park on the North Quays through Phoenix Park and the Memorial Gardens to the hidden gem of the Grand Canal Way to Clondalkin village’s Brigid’s Well. St. Brigid’s Triduum–St.Nicholas Church Bridge Street, Dundalk and Faughart Shrine

St. Brigid’s Triduum St. Patrick’s Parish Dundalk began the Triduum in honour of St. Brigid in 1982 under the care and direction of Mr and Mrs Paddy McCourt (R.I.P.) and Spiritual Director Fr. Paddy Larkin.  Feast Day Celebrations - 1st February each year Dundalk and Faughart St. Brigid’s Triduum runs daily for 3 days leading up to and including 1st February at 11.00am and 7.30pm daily in St. Nicholas’ Church, Bridge Street, Dundalk. The annual St Brigid’s Candlelight Procession takes place on 1st February, from Faughart Graveyard to St Brigid’s Shrine.  This procession will take place regardless of weather conditions.  Hymns and prayers will be recited en route.
